Do I need to navigate or will the course be marked?
The course is marked and marshalled, you won’t get lost
What footwear do I need?
It’s likely to be pretty muddy so off road trainers are an advantage but you will be able to get around fine in normal trainers.
Are there water stations?
Yes, there are water stations at approximately miles 4, 7 and 11. However to reduce plastic usage we ask you to bring your own reusable cups and/or waterbottles. There may even be some snacks.
Is there a cut off for the race?
The cut off is 4 hours. There will be a sweeper to help motivate you
Is there a goody bag?
Sorry no.
Where can I park?
The main car park next to the riverside pub (BS27 3PX) has 129 spaces, all day parking is £5.50. It’s around ten minutes from the start and finish. More info can be found here
Is there a mandatory kit list?
Only in the case of extreme weather conditions, so far this has not been necessary. We will inform runners by email if this is the case.
Will there be refreshments at the finish?
Oh yes, we take our tea and cake very seriously
Can I run with my Dog?
Unfortunately not. As a UK affiliated Running Club our liability insurance through England Athletics does not cover injury or damage caused by animals. Sorry.
Can my children run the Big Chees?
Only if they are over 18
