Two Cheddar runners were in a field of about 1400 contesting the hilly trail half marathon around the Forest of Dean. Vet55 Tony Watts was in 294th place with 1.40.56, while Vet40 Lee Woodland was 333rd in a personal best time of 1.42.44.

Three Cheddar runners scored personal bests at the Bath Half Marathon. Out of around 11,000 runners to complete the course, Greg Brock came in 249th in a time of 1.25.32. Shane Roach, currently training for the London Marathon docked half a minute off his best with 1.33.50, to come in 716th place, while Helen Brock was in 1113th place with a time of 1.38.26.
Greg Brock got his off-road season off to a hugely impressive start competing in the terrifying ‘Tough Guy’ race featured on television – an eight mile course of mud, water and aerial obstacles. On a bitterly cold day, Greg came in 5th out of almost 3,000 people to complete the course.
